National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) Training
NCWC provides training for healthcare professionals interested in learning
and practicing the NADA acupuncture protocol for addictions. Over on thousand
addiction treatment and criminal justice programs in the US offer acupuncture
using the NADA protocol to support the treatment and recovery process. The
federal government, Centers for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), is currently
developing a guide for integrating acupuncture into addiction treatment programs.
Texas law allows the following licensed professionals to train as Certified
Acu Detox Specialists: social workers, nurses, counselors (LCDCs & LPCs),
and psychologists. Professionals can learn the NADA protocol in 70 hours, divided
into didactic and clinical experiences. For information on upcoming trainings
