How do I get Involved?

Call to schedule an initial session (assessment). We are usually able to schedule you within a day or two of your initial contact.

The purpose of the assessment session is to gather as much information as possible about the presenting concern, discuss with the client the range of possible interventions, determine an appropriate plan of action, and encourage involvement in the therapeutic process.back to top

Do you work with my Insurance?

We are contracted program providers for many insurance plans (including ValueOptions, United Behavioral Health, Aetna, Lifesynch, APS, PHCS, Humana, United Healthcare, ComPsych, and others) and can work with many other plans out of network. Are you Confidential?

We are licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and bound by the ethics of our profession and Texas law to keep client information and identifying records confidential, unless you give us written consent to disclose through a release of information. There are a few exceptions to confidentiality that you should be aware of. Texas law considers the following instances exceptions:

  1. Suspected child abuse or neglect. Therapist must report to Child Protective Services (or law enforcement)
  2. Suspected abuse or neglect of an elderly person or a disabled person. Therapist must report to Adult Protective Services.
  3. High probability that a client may harm himself/herself or another person. Law enforcement officials/medical authorities will be notified who may then take protective action.
  4. Knowledge that a client has been abused by another mental health professional.
  5. Subpoena from a state court judge for written records.
  6. Audit from licensing entity. back to top

Are You Successful?

NCWC provides evidence-based treatment and a wide range of services, so we have many successful outcomes here. However, the biggest predictor of success is client readiness to change, coupled with consistent and prolonged participation in the therapeutic process. back to top

What about Detox?

Withdrawal and detoxification can be an uncomfortable, frightening and dangerous ordeal. Some clients are helped with medications and may need medical supervision when going through withdrawal. If you think you need medical help, ASAM Certified Physicians are trained to help with the resources you need. NCWC works closely with Brian Earthman MD and David Jones MD, and other qualified physicians, to help you through this essential first step of treatment. back to top
